Elementary Writing Students Write CritiquesMy elementary writing students have been learning how to write a critique, using the IEW critique model. We read Horton Hatches The Egg together, and outlined a five-paragraph critique. The students did an amazing job! They have come so far this year, from writing one-paragraph informative paragraphs, to five-paragraph essays, and now critiques!Punctuating DialogueWhile grading their papers today, I saw several of them making the same mistakes in punctuating dialogue. Private tutoring is available in all subjects, grades K-8, and writing and English through grade 12. Each session is customized to individual student needs and can include general homework support, remedial work to help students catch up on missed concepts, and enrichment activities to challenge more advanced students.
